Tiger student-athletes continue classroom excellence

Volleyball earned the highest womens team GPA with a 3.62.
勛圖tv student-athletes excelled in the classroom once again during fall semester, with 42 achieving 4.0 grade-point averages and 109 making the Deans Honor List with GPAs of 3.5 or better.
Overall, the 338 student-athletes had a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and 220 had GPAs of 3.0 or better.
Our student-athletes continued to display the excellence that has become a standard at Pacific, said Athletic Director Adam Tschuor. This impressive performance in the classroom is a credit to our student-athletes, our services team, our coaches and our amazingly collaborative institutional academic team and faculty.
In addition, 23 Tigers were honored with West Coast Conference All-Academic honors, while five earned College Sports Communications Academic All-District awards.
Volleyball notched the highest womens team GPA with a 3.62 and 80 percent of the roster earned a spot on the Deans Honor List. Tennis tallied the highest mens team GPA with a 3.62 and half of its squad was distinguished on the Deans Honor List.
Im very proud of the hard work and dedication everyone showed this past semester, said Justine Brown-DaCosta, director of student-athlete development. I look forward to seeing what the department will continue to accomplish both academically and athletically the rest of the year.
